Tottenham returned from the international break in style this weekend.
Spurs beat Manchester City 4-0 in the Premier League on Saturday, raising high hopes for the upcoming season.
Ange Postecoglou’s side were a completely different outfit to the one that lost to Ipswich before the break and the result was all the more impressive as Spurs were missing two of their key defenders, Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.
The challenge now will be to establish some consistency. Capable of beating anyone on their day, dramatic changes in form must become a thing of the past if Spurs are to build something lasting.
To do that, they will need their key players available, which they won’t have in the coming weeks, with Guglielmo Vicario now ruled out for the foreseeable future.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the latest Injuries at Tottenham…
Guglielmo Vicar
The highly-rated Tottenham goalkeeper picked up a knock on his ankle in the first half against City, but carried on and finished the match, making a series of fine saves in the process.
However, his moves did not look brilliant and he was seen limping out of the Etihad Stadium, with Spurs subsequently revealing on Monday evening that he had undergone surgery on his fractured right ankle.
Vicario himself took to social media to reveal he played with the glitch for an hour against City, making his performance all the more impressive.
The Italy international looks set for an extended spell, with no timetable for his potential return as deputy Fraser Forster prepares to replace him.

Micky van de Ven
Van de Ven is back in training for Spurs after suffering a hamstring injury during the Carabao Cup win over City last month.
Nonetheless, the Dutchman will be in no rush to return to action and could be ruled out until mid-December.
“Micky is still a few weeks away,” Postecoglou said last week.
“He’s training on grass but he’s still a few weeks away. We hope that by mid-December he will be back and available to play.
Potential return date: December 2024
Christian Romero
Fellow defender Romero has suffered toe and hamstring injuries recently and missed the win against City.
Speaking ahead of that game, the Spurs boss said: “Romero won’t be good for tomorrow’s game.
“We hope he’ll be right next week.”
Potential return date: Unknown
Mike Moore
Exciting youngster Mikey Moore saw what could be a breakout season slightly derailed by a virus.
“Mikey will still be out for a little while as well,” the Spurs boss revealed last week.
“He’s been hit pretty hard by the virus and since he’s young too, we have to be careful. He’s back in the building, but we’re going to spend some time with him.
Potential return date: Unknown
Richarlison
A frustrating spell on the injury front continued for Richarlison after he suffered a hamstring injury in the win over Aston Villa earlier this month.
The Brazilian is not expected to return until the new year.
“Hopefully he will be back in the new year but, again, similar to Micky [Van de Ven]we have to be careful at every step of the process,” Postecoglou confirmed.
Potential return date: January 2025
Wilson Odobert
Summer signing Wilson Odobert faces a prolonged spell on the sidelines after suffering a “serious” setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.
A club statement released on November 16 said: “We can confirm that Wilson Odobert underwent surgery on his right hamstring yesterday.
“The 19-year-old will continue to be closely monitored by our medical team to determine when he can return to training.”
